SOAP is a lightweight protocol for exchange information in non-centralized, distributed environments. It is an XML-based protocol that consists of three parts: a set of defined frameworks for describing the content of the message and how to process it, a set of coding rules that represent the data type instance defined by the application, and a representation Remote process calls and responses. SOAP can potentially use with a variety of other protocols; however, only the bindings defined in this document describe how to use SOAP with the HTTP and HTTP extension frameworks.
