------------------------------------------- -------- In the early days of the manufacturing industry, engineering and marketing processes have been sufficient to produce the desired products: the hammer, diesel engine or toothpaste, good process and reasonable price for the production of people. Will suffice. Over time, consumer products manufacturers realize that they need to distinguish the product of their products with the same functionality of the competitor, so that the design is introduced, used to increase users' desire for products. Graphic designers are hired to create more eye-catching packaging and advertising, while industrial designers are busy creating more comfortable, useful and type. The three elements of modern product development and design marks the introduction of design being conscious. Larry Keele is defined as: (engineering) feasibility, (commercial) vitality, (design) attractive (see Figure 1-3). If a significant weakness in the three foundations is weak, then this product is less likely to ban the test of time.
The premise of building a successful product target design method is that the product must be balance between business and technical concerns and users concern. From the question "What do people want?" Start, then, you ask "What is the things you want, how is it is commercially available?" Finally, you ask "For people want and commercial, I can build. What? "A common trap is the main concern and ignores vitality and appeal. It is understood that the importance of each dimension is just the beginning, and this understanding must be implemented. We are used to focus on business and technology dimensions: you create business models and develop business plans; and similarly create engineering models and specifications. The target directive design process has a similar planning process that generates a reliable user model and a comprehensive user interaction plan. The user program determines the chance of using a product. The business plan determines the chance of commercial self-supporting and development. The technical plan determines that the product can be manufactured and delivered. The combination of these three elements determines the chance of success of the final product. Larry Keeley proposes the original model (as shown above), and the right picture is constructed on this basis. The KEELEY model defines three main qualities in high-tech commercial business.
Figure 1-3: Constructing a successful digital product, as a Kelley triangle (left picture) expansion, the intermediate schematic explains three main processes, through the implementation of their successful technology products, this book involves the first one. The final problem: how to create people you want. Now come to the computer, the first machine created by humans, as long as the appropriate software is written, there can be almost unlimited behaviors. This complex behavior or interaction behavior is interesting place that it completely changes the nature of the product it hits. Interaction behavior attracts people's attention, so it will not be important for other attention to other aspects of interactive products. Who will care about the black box under your table - interactive screens, keyboards, and mouse, which is user concern. However, for the interaction behavior of software and other digital products, the focus of designing the largest share should be obtained, but all often do not have a little concern.
The traditional design method is derived from the method of providing the product attraction and does not have much guidance in the interaction world. Behavioral design is a completely different issue, not only the guidelines for visual elements and signs, more need to have context. Behavioral design requires aware of the entire process of contact between users and their products. The most important thing is to understand how users want to use the product, what way, for what results.
