LinuxAid.com.cn Site Latest Information: Recently, Sharp confirmed to ThereGister and has stopped sales of Zaurus Linux PDA products in the US market. Some news revealed that SHARP (US) has stopped SL-6000 sales in the United States in September and closed the developer support site.
SHARP's spokesperson has confirmed the above news. However, the spokesperson said it will continue to sell Linux PDA products in Japan. The company has stopped Zaurus in Europe in 2003. The SL-6000 has not officially sold in Europe.
Sharp shrinks the movement of the overseas market is similar to those of the other two competitors Sony and Toshiba, and the key is to save operations. Sharp also launched a new Zaurus product last week with a hard drive.
