1. Introduction 1.1 OBEX
CounterPoint's JetBeam Series is a set of IRDA-adapted protocol stacks developed by embedded systems. The Obex Additional Components is an implementation of the IRDA component exchange specification of the JetBeam protocol stack. It provides a very simple and smart approach to PUT and GET data objects, thus supporting RAD and data transfer between large-scale devices, such as PC, PDA, digital cameras, etc. Obex makes it easy to send and receive data objects (Data Object) in one or more applications in one device. These data objects include files, images, records, and any other data that make sense to the application. Applications can avoid very complicated programming tasks, such as IrDA's Descovery, create connection, control transmission, etc., in order to call a simple to send a SEND function (just like an accessory to email), And a notification for the complete received data (like attachments that are arriving together with emails). Obex runs on the top of the JetBeam protocol stack of any Counter Point. The remainder of this chapter will briefly introduce the OBEX components of JetBeam. (To be contract ...)
