There are two ways to develop Oracle library interfaces under Visual C . One way is to use Visual C , multiple database access technologies, such as open database connecting ODBC, data access objects DAO, object connection, and embedding database OLE DB and ActiveX data object ADO, etc. Another approach is to embed the SQL statement in Visual C , which is the finished Pro * C / C (hereinafter referred to as PROC). The former method is intended to be conveniently implemented when there is a powerful class library support, familiar with the VC programming, and the application is strong; however, the application needs to establish contact with the database communication interface compared to Proc. Complex, performing efficiency is relatively low. PROC supports embedded PL / SQL blocks, combined with Oracle libraries, combining process language and non-processed languages, forming a stronger development tool, can develop optimized applications that meet various complex requirements, perform efficiency high. Suitable for those who are familiar with Oracle technology. However, the application developed with PROC cannot be transplanted with the heterogeneous database platform.
