Based on the case, the school network center is propelled to a IP section of this college, 192.168.101.0/24, each office, has several network modules to pick up the corridor switch, all through 192.168.101.254 access to other networks and the Internet; Individual classrooms have dozens of computers, through the switch connected to the wall module, also uses 192.168.101.254 as a gateway. This semester experiment center expansion, adding two hundred computers, and is officially put into use, but the center's routing equipment has not yet arrived, all more than 400 computers are in a network, and they should be online, more than 200 IP far away. Not enough, there is a case where nearly half of the computer cannot get IP from the DHCP server and cannot be online. Because of the case of comparative, it is not necessary to re-plan the internal network to solve the problem of insufficient IP resources, so I thought of using iptables' forwarding function, temporarily solved the case of IP resources in a network: 1, put a software in the network segment FTP adds an ipifconfig eth0: 1 192.168.0.12, open the iptables service, and add the necessary module /etc/init.d/iptables startinsmod iptables_nat_ftp (notice the name, anyway, the module related FTP forwarding) 3, increase Rule iptables -t nat -a postrouting -o eth0: 1 -j Masquerade4, modify the IP of the DHCP server 192.168.0.2, and new IP field 192.168.0.0/24
Now OK, IP has been out of IP has 8 days of lease, coupled with more than two hundred IPs of 192.168.0.0/24, temporarily solved the online problem of four hundred machines.
