No Messenger is automatically run in Win XP
I have used WinXP to know that Messenger is started with the system, and the current chat software is relatively QQ in China. Many people will be in the system configuration program (MSconfig.exe) in order to save system valuable resources. "Take it" in the boot bar, prohibit it to automatically run when the system is started; some even simply delete it directly from the WinXP system. And in front of the method, when entering the system, although Messenger is prohibited from automatically running, but when you run Outlook or log in to the Hotmail website mailbox, it will still run automatically, then if you don't want to put it from the system Delete, don't want it to follow Outlook to run automatically, then you can modify this: Expand the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Run" branch in the Registry Editor, select the "MSMSGS" key value in the right window , Then select "Delete" in the right-click menu so that Outlook starts automatically. However, modification can only be valid for the current user. If the other user logs in, Messenger will follow Outlook to start and automatically run. Now we also need to modify the WinXP's group policy editor, run "gpedit.msc", open group policies Editor, Expand "'Local Computer' Policy" → Computer Configuration → "Administrative Template" → "Windows Set" → "Windows Messenger", select "Windows Messenger when initialization", then change its status to " Enabled, exit group policy editor. After such a revision, no need to uninstall, no matter which user logs in, it can completely prohibit it to automatically run in WinXP.
