There are two ways to use Chinese in AIX: the first is to select a Chinese language when installing AIX, and the system is installed automatically displays Chinese (this method is not recommended, it does not have a second method to use flexible). The second is to select English when installing AIX. After the system is started, the Chinese environment is manually, the method is as follows:
1. Place the first CD of the AIX system into the optical drive; 2. Run command: smitty -> system environments -> manage languange environment -> Change / Show Primary Language Environment -> Change / Show Cultural Convertion, Language, or Keyboard
Move the cursors to the following fields in the subsequent display menu:
Primary Cultural Convention Primary Language Translation Primary KEYBOARD
Press, select "IBM-EUCCN" from the pop-up menu to change the above field to Simplified Chinese, and then install the Chinese environment package from the disc after pressing the back key. After this operation is completed, restart the system, and the operation interface is Simplified Chinese.
When you need to enter Chinese, use the following function keys to switch the input method:
AIX 4.3.3 Previous versions: F1 - F4 Switch to various Chinese input methods; right --- switched to English input;
AIX 4.3.3: Ctrl [F2]: Intelligent ABC; Ctrl [F4]: Pinyin Enter; Ctrl [F5]: Five Input; Ctrl [F6]: Zheng code input; ctrl [f7]: shape Code input; Ctrl [F9]: internal code input; Ctrl [F10]: English half; in addition, AIX also contains two other Chinese environment, "UTF8" and "GBK", which are related to "IBM-EUCCN" The difference is that the use of traditional Chinese characters.
