As Individuals, We can read and adhere to
the Software Engineering Code of Ethics and Professional Practice. We can also use Construx's Professional Development Program (explained in chapter 16) as a framework for planning our own careers. If you are a software engineer and you do not already have a personal development plan, you should definitely start one today, because this is something that you can not just leave to your manager or HR department and expect that it will turn out ok. This development program alone is worth the cost of the book.
