W3C is a standardized organization in the Web and XML technology, in order to engage in the standardization of Web services, they all set up a corresponding working group. In January 2002, W3C established Web Services Activity, leadership by IBM and Microsoft. Web Services Activity includes five branches, as follows:
1) XML Protocol Work GroupXML Protocol Work Group is actually earned earlier than Web Services Activity, and its current working status is to develop SOAP 1.2 standards. 2) Web Services Description Work Group forms a WSDL 2.0 standard on the basis of previous WSDL 1.1. 3) Web Services Choreography Working Group Considering the overall Web service technology framework, such as Web Service Architecture and Web Service Standard Agreement Stack. 4) Semantic Web Services Interest Group This is an interest group, mainly discusses the combination of Semantic Web Technology and Web Services 5) Web Services Coordination Group This is a coordination team, mainly responsible for the coordination of the previous groups.
