[TIP] Use the command line to view the machine configuration in the Windows system

Create a historical query server's physical view environment in the customer from home to Kunming this afternoon.

The database is already installed, the server is Windows 2000 Advanced Server

Someone told me that the database is installed by default.

Need to adjust the configuration of the initialization parameter file today

56K MODEM dials, only 33K connection speed

Using PCAnywhere under this speed is a nightmare

But you must know that hardware configuration can adjust some parameters in the initialization file.

For example, the memory size of each part of SGA

At this time, I can't help but I will knock a few words in Unix, I will know the scene of all the results.

However, in Windows, I don't know how to configure the machine in addition to right-click my computer.

So I went to the Internet, actually

Here is the command to introduce today: msinfo32.exe

Msinfo32.exe is launched after Windows2000, replacing the previous WinMsd.exe command.

If you do not add any parameter input, the execution result of MSINFO32 is still displayed in a GUI window. Fortunately, Msinfo32 provides parameters that allows us to output the results into a text file, and then open this text file.

The Msinfo32.exe program is located in the / program files / commit file / microsoft shared / msinfo directory, generally this directory is not in the Path path, so if you enter Msinfo32 directly in the CMD window, you will report that there is no such command. So we need to use a full path to execute this command.

The command to get the system configuration information is as follows:

C: / Program Files / Common Files / Microsoft Shared / Msinfo / Msinfo32 / Report D: /Temp/info.txt / Categories Systemsummary

The generated info.txt file, view with Type, the result is as follows:

TYPE D: /TEMP/INFO.TXT
