QPL, an open source license
This license is included in this license (or "QPL"), which is called Q public license (or "QPL") and has passed open source authentication. Therefore, it applies to people who wish to develop software in accordance with open source mode modes, so that the source code of the software can be obtained, modified, and re-released by all users. QPL prohibits development of private software. About QT, we offer Qt Professional. Please visit http://www.troll.no/pricing.html.
You can publish your own software as follows QPL. We think it is very suitable for those who wish to participate in open source engineering, and hope to retain the possibility of selling software to non-free commercial software developers to achieve their lives.
You can modify the applicable Legal section to select legal and / or authorities to give more suitable for your provisions and still call it "QPL". You can completely delete the section, and still call it "QPL". If you have any other modifications, then you can't call your license as "QPL".
We strongly recommend that you only modify the "Applicable Law" section and call it "QPL". Less license names can be easily understood by users.
The following features of "QPL" make it suitable for QT:
Modifications are separated from the original code to make them easily bind to the new version of QT. Modifications can be combined into the new version of QT according to the author's will. Binary code can be with the original code - this is especially important for dynamic connection libraries. Anyone can correct errors - this is especially important for the publishers of the system. Qt Free Edition can be used to run software written by Qt Professional.
Free software developed with QT free version is also protected by the KDE Free QT Foundation.
As long as you meet the QPL requirements, you can use QT free version to develop. Your software can be released in accordance with any license that meets the requirements of Section 6.
Acknowledgment: We must pay special thanks to people in the process of writing QPLs in CEO Ransom Love and other Caldera Systems. Their support and feedback play an incapacitated role in the process of changing QT to open source. We also want to thank Joseph Carter from Debian Engineering to make a valuable investment he did, thank Eric raymond's help.
