VMware Install Redhat Linux 9.0 complete Raiders

I recently wanted to touch Linux, because many overflow programs were written under Unix, Python, Perl. So I started to set up a Linux under Windows.

The first is to download and install a virtual machine software, Virtual PC and VMware, don't say to select VMware, because the former does not support non-Windows system, // sigh. Find a new version in http://51zz.com:81/softdown.asp?id=25090, there is a registration code.

This is the case after the installation is.

Then create a virtual machine, remember to choose Redhat Linux, select Redhat's virtual optical drive file in the CD-ROM-driven settings (top there is below the BT, I use 3CD version)

After starting (POWER ON), automatically boot the installation from the CD, the Windows program is installed, and the most critical is that when the key is to select the graphics, choose "Skip X Configuration" to skip X configuration, because the virtual machine's graphics card is Program simulation!

After the installation is restarted, it will automatically enter the command line mode (because the X-Windows settings are skipped), then it is to install VMware Tools. If you have it, you can have a graphics card to make the virtual machine has a stronger performance!

Log in with root, then remember the install vmware tools .... and enter the following command to load CDROM

Mount / dev / cdrom / mntcd / tmptar zxf /mnt/VMware-linux-tools.tar.gzumount / mnt

Then you enter the installation directory installation

CD VMware-Tools-Distrib ./vmware-install.pl

Then press the carriage return all the way, the program will prompt to install it!

Next, knock StartX, enter X-Windows, everything is done!
