IMEI is the abbreviation of International Mobile EquipmentIndIndIndity (International Mobile Device), also known as serial number, and its maximum function is used to help identify the identity of your mobile phone. The mobile phone market can be described as stormy, some of the unscrupulous dealers often use mobile phone production to deceive customers to raise mobile prices. Not only that, today's mobile phones are more licensed, parallel, fake, do not have a point of anti-counterfeiting basic knowledge, and the possibility is quite large.

The IMEI code contains the mobile phone model approve code and the factory number. The approved number of the same phone must be the same, but the factory serial number will never be the same, that is, it is impossible to have two mobile phones with the same IMEI code. If you see the two models of the mobile phone approved number, or you see two mobile phone factory serial numbers, you have to play the spirit, because one of them is definitely fake.

First, IMEI code basic knowledge

The IMEI code is typically consisting of 15 digits. Most GSM mobile phones will be displayed as long as the "* # 06 #" is pressed. The format is as follows:

TAC is Type Approval Code for the device model approved number.

Fac is Final Assembly Code, for the final assembly number.

SNR is Serial Number, which is the factory number.

SP is SPARE NUMBER, for the standby number.

However, 17-bit IMEI code is used in the most recent products of Ericsson, such as T18SC and T28SC. Its the top 15 meanings and the general IMEI code meaning, the latter two is the version code, which is not important to the user.

1.TAC code (equipment model approved number)

The first six digits of the IMEI code are TAC code. The TAC code represents the model of the phone. No matter Nokia, Ericsson or Motorola's products, as long as it is the same model, the TAC code must be the same. The first six in the Nokia 6150 IMEI code is definitely "493002".

2.FAC code (last assembly number)

The IMEI code is 7, 8, which means which of which means that the phone is finally completed. Every factory has its special code, so this is not a code made from manufacturing. However, the factory is located as a mobile phone production site in the minds of the factory. Therefore, the FAC code can also be considered as the code of the mobile phone production.

3. SNR code (factory number)

The IMEI code is 9 ~ 14 digits of the SNR code, which is the factory number of the mobile phone. Like the factory number of mobile phones and other products, it is the internal management of manufacturers, and there is not much sense to users.

4.SP (alternate number)

The last bit of the IMEI code is the SP code, which is the alternate number of the phone, generally zero. However, there are some SP codes of some mobile phones that are not zero, which is normal.

The following is demonstrating in Nokia 6150, Motorola CD938, Ericsson T18SC to help understand.

A Nokia 6150, after pressing "* # 06 #", the screen appears "Mobile Serial No. 493002407599521". "493002" represents the mobile phone approval model is 6150; "40" represents the final assembly as Beijing; "759952" is the factory number of the mobile phone; 1 is the alternate number (shown in Figure 1).

A Motorola CD938 presses "* # 06 #", "447769804451095" appears on the screen. "447769" represents the mobile phone approval model is CD938; "80" represents the final assembly is China; "445109" is the factory number of the mobile phone; "5" is a standby number (shown in Figure 2).

After a Ericsson T18SC presses "* # 06 #", "520027-19-012435-8-05" appears on the screen. "520027" represents the mobile phone approval model is T18SC; "19" represents the final assembly is the UK; "012435" is the factory number of the mobile phone; "8" represents the alternate number; "05" is version code. Second, mobile phone FAC code knowledge

Many users don't know the mobile phone production places represented by various FAC code, which will list the origins of major mobile phone manufacturers (such as Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, etc.) and their corresponding FAC code.

After the user is called, the user should pay attention to whether the code should be paid to the IMEI code on the back of the phone (remove the battery), the IMEI code on the box is consistent on the IMEI code on the warranty card. If it is inconsistent, then the mobile phone is generally not a fake is the old machine to replace the new shell. If it is consistent, your phone is usually genuine. However, there is still a very small possibility to be parallel, this time, you only check if you have false. The specific method is to place the entry permit under the counterfeit machine. If it is found that there is a display of "CMII" and one not very clear, it is a formal entry, otherwise it is parallel.
