Report design - filtering data

To dynamically filter data in the report, there are several ways: use parameters, use filters, and use dynamic queries.

To filter data on the data source, parameters can be used. In order to use parameters, you need to write a query containing the query parameters. Report Designers will attempt to detect any query parameters and automatically create report parameters for query parameters. With the "Parameters" tab in the Dataset dialog, you can also manually associate the query parameters with report variables.
