If Windows XP system files are destroyed by viruses or other reasons, we can restore those destroyed files from the Windows XP installation disc.
The specific method is as follows:
Searching in the Windows XP installation disk, you need to note that the last character of the file name is replaced by the bottom line "_", for example, if you want to search "NOTEPAD.exe", you need to use "notepad.ex_" Search.
After search, open the command line mode ("CMD" in "Run"), then enter: "The full path of the full path destination file of the Expand source file." For example: expand d: /setup/notepad.ex_ c: /windows/notepad.exe. One thing to note is that if there is a space in the path, then the path needs to be included in double quotes (English quotes).
Finding is of course the best, but sometimes we can't find the files we need when searching in the Windows XP disk. One reason for this is that the file to be found is in the "CAB" file. Since Windows XP treats "CAB" as a folder, only for Windows XP systems, just drag the "CAB" file and then copy to the corresponding directory.
If you are using another Windows platform, you search for "CAB" files that contain the target file name. Then open the command line mode, enter: "The full path to the Extract / L target position CAB file", for example: Extract / L C: / Windows D: /i386/driver.cab notepad.exe. As with the previous, if there is space in the path, you need to include the path to the path.
