Project Management (MS Project Server 2002)

This article is a brief description of the installation, configuration, and use of Project Server, intended to guide users to quickly use the project management software (Microsoft Project) to perform project management. 1. Database installation 1.1. Install SQL Server 20001, put it in SQL Server 2000 installation disk, if not automatically run, is a double-click Autorun.exe file

2. Select "Install SQL Server 2000 Components" to enter the next interface

3. Select "Install Database Server" to enter the Database Installation Wizard.

4, the default is the local computer name, click Next

5, create a database instance by default, click Next

6. Enter the user name and unit name, click Next

7. Read the license agreement, click "Yes" button

8, Default "Server and Client Tools", click Next

9. According to the system default instance, click Next

10. Specify the installation path of the program file and database file, here we use the default path, click Next.

11. Enter the password and domain name of the user name. If it is not possible in the domain, use the native name in the domain name. Click Next.

12, select the mixing mode (Windows and SQL Server), enter the user name SA, the password can be empty, click Next.

13. After confirming that the disk space is enough, click Next, such as installation.

14, the default program file name, click Next

15. After the copy file is over, click OK to confirm the installation success.

1.2. Install SQL Analysis Service1, put in the SQL Server 2000 installation disk, if not automatically run, is a double-click Autorun.exe file

2, select "Install Analysis Service", enter the welcome page

3. Click Next to enter the license agreement page

4, after reading the license, click Next

5, choose the installation show server and installation path, we use the default value, click Next

6, the default program file name, click Next

7. After the copy file is over, click OK to confirm the installation success.

1.3. Installing SQL Server SP3 If you don't have a statement, please download Chs_SQL2Ksp3.exe, run, install it to your system from the outlet.

1.4. Installing SQL Analysis Server SP3 If you don't have a statement, please download Chs_SQL2KASP3.exe, run, install it to your system from the outlet.

2. Project Server 2002 Server Installation 2.1. Install SharePoint Server1, put in the Project Server 2002 disc, if no automatic run, double-click the setup.exe program. 2, select the SharePoint Configuration Wizard

3, then accept the "SharePoint Configuration Wizard] license agreement. Click [Next].

4, then the specified SQL Server Database Server Name installation window will appear, requiring the server name and administrator username and password. Here we enter the login name "sa". Then click the [Next] button.

5, wait a few minutes later, the wizard will inform you that SharePoint has been configured. There is very important information in this window, you must remember to grab the picture, or prepare the information inside the paper and the pen.

Server Name: km

Web server port: 80

SharePoint Management Port: 3515

Database server said: km

Database Name: km_lm_w3svc_1_collab

6. Click the Complete button to close the prompt information.

2.2. System User Settings 1, Open [Computer Management] program in [Management Tools] in [Control Panel].

2. Select [Tree] sub-forms [system tools / local users and groups / users].

3. Select the [New User] in the menu [Operation] to add the new user of Windows Server.

4. The [New User] window will appear on the screen. Enter "Stsadmin" to [User Name] and [Full Name], enter your password, and determine according to your own situation, the hook is selected [password never expired].

5. Setting Stsadmin belonging to the Administrators Administrators Group.

6. Add new users "Olapadmin" as described in 3, 4, and set up the Administrators and OLAP Administrators groups.

7. Select [Service and Application / Microsoft SQL Servers / WorkStationB / Security / Login] in the tree.

13, then check (km_lm_w3svc_1_collab) database in the (Database Access) page, and select [public] and [db_owner] in the [Database Role]. Then click the [OK] button.

2.3. Install Project Server1, put it in the Project Server 2002 disc, if not automatically run, double-click the setup.exe program.

2, then accept the "SharePoint Configuration Wizard] license agreement. Click [Next].

3, then select the window that selects the installation type, here we choose [custom] installation method

4, next will prompt you to enter the database server information. We choose [Create a new database], enter the database server name: "km", and use "Windows Authentication (Current Login User)". If necessary, "SQL Server Authentication" is used, ie the input database administrator "SA" and its password are verified. Then click the [Next] button.

5, then request the connection information of the analysis service. Previously we installed SQL Server's analysis server on this server and established an administrator OLAPADMIN for an analysis server. Therefore, we will enter this information immediately. At the same time, please pay attention to the login name to enter the format of the domain name / username: "Workstation / Olapadmin". Then click the [Next] button. 6, then select [Default Web Site].

7, then enter the information about the web server. Also remember the intraN URL: http: // km / projectserver of Microsoft Project Server here, then we will use something that is accessing Project Server in a web way.

8, then enter the SMTP server about information.

9, then enter the information about the web server running SharePoint Team Services. Here, we used our information to be remembered. So find it out, copy it here!

10, then enter the database server name and its database name of the web server running SharePoint Team Services and the username of the login database. Then click [Next].

11, then select the version of Microsoft Project, please choose according to the actual situation of the company to purchase the Microsoft Project version. Then click the [Next] button.

12, then ask you to enter administrator password information, which is the pass of the Project Server in a web mode.

13, wow, after such a long setting, finally install ready, then what are you waiting for, hurry up the [installation] button!

2.4. Setting SharaPoint and Project Server Routing Proxycfg.exe, the specific parameters are as follows:

Proxycfg.exe -d -p * "; 127.0.0.1; 192.168.0.1; Project; Project.abc.com"

192.168.0.1 is the IP address of the server itself;

Project is the host name of the server;

Project.abc.com is the domain name of the server.

note:

1) Proxycfg.exe below C: / Program Files / Microsoft Project Server / Bin

2) If you have a routing server, you need to change 127.0.0.1 to your routing server.

3. Project 2002 Installation 1, put in the Project 2002 CD, if there is no automatic run, double-click the setup.exe program

5. Project Web Access Use 5.1. Set the member Login Password and Permissions 1. Open the Internet Exploer browser, enter: http:// km / projectserver

2, enter the Windows authentication user name and password

3, enter the password of the server administrator name login to Project Server, enter the main interface, (if you are logged in for the first time, you need to grant the license agreement, download and install the Web Access component to your client),

4. Select the Manage menu to enter the management page

5. Select "Manage User and Group" to enter the User Management page
