TM Web Start 1.01 and Java 2 SDK and Java 2 Runtime Environment (JRE) Bindings.
On the Microsoft Windows platform, Java Web Start is quietly installed in Java 2 SDK and JRE installation. You can find the Java Web Start icon on your desktop. Similarly, there is a Java Web Start item in the start-> program menu.
On the Solaris and Linux platform, the installation script of Java Web Start is included in a ZIP file in the JRE directory of the Java 2 SDK (or JRE top, you can move the zip to your favorite place to install Java Web Start . We recommend that the Java 2 SDK and JRE directory structures are installed. Unzip the one, then run the install.sh script to install Java Web Start.
Overview
Java Web Start is a new application scheduling technology that allows you to click the startup application from a web browser. You can download and launch applications, such as a fully spreadsheet program or Internet chat client, without having to pass a complex installation process.
Java Web Start includes security features of the Javatm 2 platform, so it is not crisised to your data and file integrity. In addition, Java Web Start technology allows you to use the latest Java 2 technology - use any browser.
With Java Web Start, you can click on a web link to launch your application. If the app is not on your computer, Java Web Start automatically downloads all the necessary files. Then it stores the file on your computer, so it is ready when you want to restart the program - whether it is a link from your icon on your desktop or a browser. And no matter what method startup you use, the latest version of the program is ready for you.
