Creating a database using Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) Returns the list of topic If you select the installation software and then create a database, or if you want to install the software created an additional database, you can use Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) to complete. Follow the steps to create a database:

1. As the management group group logs in to your computer, this group has permission to install Oracle software and create and run the database. 2. Start DBCA: Start> Programs> Oracle - Home_name> Configuration and Migration Tools> Database Configuration Assistant Tools> Database CONFIGURATION ASSISTANT In the prompt, enter DBCA: DBCA 3. appear Welcome page on the UNIX operating system. Click Next. 4. Select CREATE A DATABASE in the Operations window to start a survey so you can configure and create a database. Click Next. 5. On the Database Templates page, select the database template type that creates the database. You can view the configuration of each database type by clicking Show Details. Choose a template for the type of workload that is suitable for your database. If you are not sure, select the default General Purpose template. Click Next. 6. Enter Global Database Name and SID in the Database Identification page. Click Next. 7. A management options appear. In order to use Enterprise Manager, select Configure the Database With Enterprise Manager. Select Use Database Control for Database Management to manage your database locally or select Use Grid Control for Database Management for your configuration. Click Next. 8. Enter the password used to users. Click Next. 9. Choose File System, Automatic Storage Management or Raw Devices for your environment. Click Next. 10. Specify the location where you create a DataFiles. Select One: Use Database File Locations from Template, Use Common Location for All Database Files or Use Oracle-Managed Files. Click Next. 11. Select Flash Recovery Area and specify the directory location and size. Select Enable Archiving to place your database in ArchiveLog mode. Click Next. 12. Click the Sample Schemas tab. If you want to include the sample mode (Example) table space in your database, select Sample Schemas. Click the Custom Scripts tab. 13. If necessary, specify one or more SQL scripts to run after the database is created. Otherwise, accept the default NO Scripts to Run. Click Next. 14. A Memory page appears. Select TyPical and enter a percentage value. Click the SIZING tab. 15. The SIZING page appears. Specifies the minimum block space and many operating system user processes that can be simultaneously connected to the database. Note: If you use a template, you cannot specify the size of the block. Click the Character Set tab. 16. The Character Set page appears. Select the character set for your database. Click the CONNECTION MODE tab. 17. The Connection Mode page appears. Also choose a dedicated server or shared server that suits your environment. Click Next. 18. The Database Storage page appears.
