Use Windows XP Bridge to implement three-machine interconnection

An article I have written, it is giving a magazine, but unfortunately they have ~~~

In real life, especially in the campus, often encountering three computers to form a small LAN, sharing system resources, and network resources. Usually implemented methods are not more than two: First, each computer is installed with a network card, and then connect them with a hub. The disadvantage of this is that the price of the 100M hub is really unpidaled for students, so they can only purchase 10M hub and unable to enjoy high-speed Ethernet. Another way is to connect three machines with four network cards, install two network cards on one of the computers, and install the corresponding gateway routing software to implement three-machine interconnect. The disadvantage of doing this is that the installation and settings are more troublesome, and the two only available a network card is generally unable to pass "online neighbors". Now there is Windows XP, its own integrated Network Bridge (Bridge) function, which is perfectly solved. Windows XP bridge provides a simple and low-cost connection to two network segments. Suppose there is now three computers A, B, C, where two network cards and a modem are installed on the machine, used as servers, B, and C, two network cards connected to the A machine, constitute two networks LAN in the section. Among them, the Windows XP operating system is installed, and the operating system on the BC machine is not limited. We hope to achieve three-machine interconnect sharing resources and internet access through such equipment. Let's first configure the Internet server, open the A-machine's NetWork Connections window, list the current network connection (as shown), including a 163 dial connection for the Internet and two LAN connections. We first open two local area network connections (which is corresponding to two network cards), configured their Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) protocol. We set the IP address of the two NICs to 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, the gateway and DNS leaves blank, close the properties dialog, save the settings. Below to configure B and C. The IP address of the two computers is set to 192.168.0.4 and 192.168.0.5, and the subnet mask is also 255.255.255.0, the gateway and DNS are temporarily left. After the above operation, the small local area network between the ABC three is initially established, and both A and B, A and C can communicate with each other, but the BC is unable to communicate between the two two plastics. It is not possible to share the Internet. The protagonist of this article will be made by the protagonist - Windows XP Bridge in this article. Locked in the NetWork Connections window and drag it, you can select two LANs simultaneously in the same way as you have selected files in my computer, click the right mouse button, pop up the shortcut menu, there is only one "Bridge Connections" available , Choose it! After a period of waiting, a new network connection called Network Bridge has been established (Figure 2). Below we have to do is to make a small configuration, right click on the Network Bridge connection, select "Properties", open its properties dialog, and we have to configure it for its TCP / IP protocol. We set its IP address to 192.168.0.1, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, and it is confirmed that it will be closed. Note that the IP address here must be 192.168.0.1, which is a necessary condition that guarantees the back Internet connection sharing.
