C language International Standard ISO / IEC 9899: 1999 (E) Translation (E) Translation (3): Introduction
BY RIVERTIME
Introduction
1 With the introduction of new equipment and extended character sets, new features must be added in this international standard. The clauses and library clauses in the language warns implementors and programmers, even if they themselves legitimate, they may conflict with future new features.
2 Some features are abandoned, which means they will be canceled in future international standards. They are left because they are widely used, but they do not encourage new implementations or new programs (language [6.11] or library [7.26]).
3 This international standard is divided into four main parts:
- Preparatory Basis (1-4);
- Interpretation and implementation of environmental characteristics of C procedures (paragraph 5);
- Language grammar, restrictions and semantics (paragraph 6);
- Library tools (paragraph 7).
4 provides an example to explain the possible form of the described configuration. Provide footnotes to emphasize an important feature of the rules or terms described in this international standard. References are provided for related subtels. It is recommended to guide the implementation. The appendix provides additional information and summary of this standard. References list the documents used during this standard preparation process.

6 library clause (paragraph 7) is based on 1984 / usr / group standard.
