About XCBL

XML Ordinary Commercial Board (XCBL) is a constantly improved XML standard. XCBL is a supported document architecture that supports robust, reusable creation, which can promote global trade processes.

XCBL as "Mother Code" is a language that can be understood by groups involved in e-commerce.

The collaborative learning of XCBL makes business activities distributed around the world, can be easily exchanged between information resources in multiple fields.

XCBL defines the basic access form of the purchaser, provider, while providing support for business services.

The latest version of XCBL is 3.5, which is derived from the EDI syntax, which provides a smooth transition from the EDI to XML information exchange.

XCBL will be able to support all basic documents and transactions to enable e-commerce worldwide, including supply chain automation between multiple companies, direct indirect procurement, planning, auction, and international circulation.

XCBL is a product of Commerce One® and the main XML standard organization, e-commerce enterprise, hardware and software provider. XCBL analyzes existing e-commerce standards, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), RosettaTanet, OBI (Open Buying ON) The Internet.

Compaq, Microsoft, SapMarkets, Sun Microsystems drives XCBL3.0 to become standards for development and delivery in the B2B solution.

XCBL progress

XCBL was initiated by VEO Systems in 1997. At that time, I was named Simple CBL. The research project funded by the Department of Commerce's Advanced Technology Program is used to test the application of XML in e-commerce, identify XML design, development, transaction tools, and support platforms.

Later, VEO invented the first object-oriented XML architect language SOX, SOX was developed on the basis of experience drawn in the first version of CBL.

In January 1999, Commerce ONE has identified VEO Systems and its CBL technology. Commerce ONE thinks that CBL and VEO SYSTEMS are predictive to E-MarketPlace collaboration helps to improve their conversions from E-Procurement to E-MarketPlace (in fact, is the transformation of e-commerce concept).

VEO CBL is adjusted to support Commerce ONE products and customers, thereby completing the collaboration between the accounts of Zho and EDI standards.

This has led to the birth of XCBL2.0, when the crown was expressed in XML.

XCBL2.0 establishes CBL-based non-private grammar, while providing EDI standards

A way to convert to an XML standard.

XCBL3.0 was released in December 2000, which is expanding as the application field, and XCBL3.0 is more powerful than XCBL2.0.

It is sufficient to encode any e-commerce standards and also support the user to customize the document as a standard component.

XCBL 3.0 saves a lot of time and efforts to developers and integrated people to ensure that the recipient correctly understands all the documents received through E-MarkPlace.

3.5 version of XCBL support W3C architecture (fully recommended), which means when developing XCBL-based solutions

You can choose between Commerce One's Sox, W3C XSDL, Microsoft's XDR, and Original DTDS, and only a small change. See: XCBL User's Group Newsletter.

XCBL future

UBL announced on October 17, 2001, XCBL3.0 is modified based on the exchange of information exchanged using other XML commercial libraries (eg,) in the scope allowed by the mutual agreement. . Due to XCBL3.0, UBL will be similar to XCBL in many ways, except for individual intervention.

UBL has just started, and the XCBL will not replace XCBL in the short term, and UBL has developed to the depth and breadth of XCBL, and the demand for new XML documents will continue until UBL development, XCBL during this time. Will help communicate new documents and UBL incompatible documents by the forum form.
