Oracle 8i for NT installation
Put the Oracle 8i mounting disk (or a burning disc with Oracle 8i) into the optical drive or connect the mobile hard disk with Oracle 8i via the USB interface, open the Windows Explorer, select the Oracle817fornt directory, execute the installation file in this directory. Setup.exe, as shown below:
Double-click the setup file, display the installation system "Welcome" window, as shown below:

"Uninstall Product": Uninstall the installed product;
"About Oracle Universal Installer ...": About the copyright mark of the installation system;
"Exit": Exit the entire installation process;
"Help": Get online help information;
"Installed Product": View the Oracle8i product already installed;
"Previous": Returns the previous installation process;
"Next": Enter the next installation process.
If you continue the installation system, click the "Next" button to enter the File Location window, which includes 3 drop-to-text boxes in addition to the same buttons as the same as the above.

Source ... "Path": This column is the full path to the installation product component documentation. The default path has been filled in the text box. If you need to change, you can use the "Browse" button to find and select the path of the program.
Target ... "Name": Enter the name of the Oracle home directory that will be established in this column, default is OraHome81. If the primary directory does not exist, the installer first creates this home directory.
Target ... "Path": Enter the full path to the main directory in this column, or select it through the "Browse" button.
It is recommended that you use the default mode; use the default path D: / Oracle / ORA81, because Oracle will automatically select the largest logic disk for the remaining space of the hard disk, the logic disk is best not less than

Then, click Next, a progress bar display window that is loading the product list appears, as shown below:
A little one or two minutes, after loading is completed, display the "Available Product" window shown below. There are three election buttons that choose to install the product to select the product installed.

After selecting a specific installation product, then click the "Next" button to display the Installation Type window, select the installation type. As shown below:

Custom: You can select a single component as needed to install. Some additional components are only available when selecting a "custom" installation type.
If there is a sufficient disk space, it is recommended to select "Typical". Steps ->

For a few minutes, the file is processed. When 100%, the "Summary" window is popped, listed in the window, the previous configuration and the new components of the new component to be installed. As shown below:

"Space Requirements": Indicates the disk space required to install the product. If the disk space is less than the required space, "space requirements" is displayed in other colors.
"New Installation Components": Represents the first time you want to install it on the machine.
Click the "Install" button to appear as shown in the following figure.

The program starts to install, wait patiently for about 30 minutes, and then display the Configuration Tools window as follows:

There is also the name of the global database you entered, a password for several common accounts, for your database security, please modify the password after the database is created;
Slightly, after the automatic configuration is over, "success" will be displayed, and then the "Database Creation Process" window will pop up, as follows:
It takes about 10 minutes. After creating, the "Database Creation Complete" window is displayed. As shown below:

Click the "OK" button to display the Installation End window, indicating that the installation process ends, as shown below:

"Installed Products": You can view the product already installed.
"Next Installation": You can click this button if you need to install additional products.
