The core concept of the grid is an old saying, that is, "network is computer", this network can be large to the entire Internet, small to a home network. A few years ago, when some foreign companies and media big fried "networks were computer", the researchers were a key technical issue of grid in a concrete manner:

- If the entire Internet is a computer, then what is its hardware? What is its processor, its memory, its external device? What kind of architecture should it be?

- What is the operating system of the grid? What is its process and thread? What is its address space? How to manage its resources?

- What is a grid programming environment and use environment? What is a grid user interface? What is a grid programming language?

- What is grid application? What kind of model and character are they?

- From the user's point of view, what is the difference between the grid and the current Internet / Web? What kind of unique is it available? We can understand the grid research content compared to well-known microcomputers (see Figure 2). A microcomputer system can be divided into four levels, namely hardware, operating system, interface, and application four layers. The second and third layers are often referred to as system software. The grid also has these four layers.
