IBM provides business support for revolutionary GRID software
In order to accelerate commercial and institutional acceptance of GRID technology, IBM announced that she is the first primary IT manufacturer with commercial support and Globus toolkit distribution. This popular Globus Toolkit package allows any size of merchants and groups to configure GRID applications and services.
This packaged software can be obtained by purchasing CD or downloading, including no change source and high quality documents, as well as installation instructions designed for IBM ESERVERS servers running Linux or AIX. Tom Hawk, general manager of IBM's Grid calculation: "Grid calculation is an important, meaningful breakthrough in next-generation IT infrastructure."
"Just like the grid's circle to the academic and research institutions entered the commercial stage, IBM decided to work with the open group to develop in GRID technology."
IBM also claims that IBM Eserver P690 giant machine for the British Research Advisory Commission will become a part of the British National Grid. The British National Grid is a network composed of a giant machine for academic and business. The potential of IBM Giant Machines will make the British national grid have doubled and used in commercial medical design and earth structure. IBM provides GRID software based on Globus open standards.
IBM has become the first computer generator who distributes Globus software in the form of a product. IBM's Linux platform Grid Toolbox's Grid Toolbox's Grid Toolbox's Grid Toolbox will be simpler, enhanced security tools, add additional IBM services and support IBM global services. This Toolbox is free, it is a middleware that allows users to share IT resources, data, and applications like shared web information. Grid integrates multiple distributed systems into a virtual computing environment.
The Globus middleware integrates a variety of GRID services and resources you can get together. With this software, developers can create grid-based applications and utilize the high stability and high availability of AIX or Linux systems. Grid Toolbox on the AIX and Linux systems will serve as connections that connect IBM and third-party software technology (Avaki, Datasynapse, Entropia, platform technology, unified equipment, and open source technology, including OpenPBS, Condor).
A complete infrastructure requires many technical components, IBM is building a solid solution for her consumers with the main business partners. Regarding the Globus project, it is a research institution that cooperates with groups and is committed to developing the basic technologies of grid computing. Grids are enabled applications to integrate a sustained solid environment for tools, display, calculation, and information resources managed by different organizations.
The main product of the Globus project is an open source Globus kit, which has been used in a lot of grid projects, with US, Europe, and world. The Globus project originated from the Algig National Laboratory and South Garfria Information Sciences. For more information, please visit the Globus project site http://www.globus.org.
