Similar to the CD / VCD dish, the data on each layer of DVD is divided into three areas of the Lead-in area, the data area, and the Lead-Out Area). For double-layer OTP discs, there is a Middle area.
The data on the DVD disk is organized in the form of sector. Each sector consists of 1024-bit data, there is no gap between the sectors, and is continuously stored on the disk as follows:
(1) For single-layer disc, from the beginning of the import area to the end of the export area;
(2) For the 0th layer of the double disc, from the beginning of the introduction area to the end of the intermediate zone;
(3) For the first layer of the double disc, from the beginning of the intermediate zone to the end of the export area.
For a double disk using the OTP mode, the sector number starting at the beginning of the first layer intermediate zone is obtained by bit by bit by bit by bit 0 layer data area, and the sector number will be continuously increased until the first layer export area At the end.
Sometimes the sector is called "Data Send", "Record Sector" or "Physical Sector", which mainly depends on the status of signal processing before the record is recorded on the disc. A data sector consists of 2048 bytes of primary data, 12-byte identity, and other data, and four byte inspection error code. A record sector is generated after encoding the error correction code, and is composed of a data sector plus the outer code parity OCP and the internal code parity ICP. The physical sector is obtained by converting modulation by one sector to convert modulation, it is a real sector recorded on the disc.
The number of sectors included in the import area, the data area, the export area, and the intermediate zone is variable, depending on the length of the program content. In general, the first fan area number of the data area is always designated as 196608 (030000H).
The import area consists of reference codes and control data. The reference code consists of 2 error correction blocks of 32 sectors. The control data consists of 192 error correction blocks, mainly including the physical format information of the disk, manufacturing information of the disk, and the program provider information.
The data of the data area is user data. All main data in the intermediate zone is 0. All main data in the export area is also 0.
