One: First use partition tools to hard disk partitioning (recommended Diskman2.0), SCO requires a separate primary partition (UNIX partition), Windows requires a primary partition (FAT32), where one of the Windows systems is installed in this primary partition, boot Use, the remaining Windows can be installed in the extension partition, and there is still one main partition to be used to install Linux; pay attention to one of them, need to format FAT16, as the SCO and Windows data exchange zones, because SCO only supports access to FAT16 DOS partition.
2: Next, first install Windows, I use Lenovo, and the motherboard has not supported Win98 installation, so I want to install Win98, I want to first safely win2k, and install the Windows primary partition. If your motherboard supports Win98 installation, you'd better first safely win98. Install Win2K, install Win98 under DOS, after the installation is complete, Win2K can't start, start with Win2K CD, fix the Win2K, you can see the Win2K and Win98 dual system. Then install WinXP if you want to be a lot of Windows. But the rest of Windows is best installed in the extension partition.
Three: After the Windows installation is complete, we start installing scounix, first-use disks to activate UNIX partition with Diskman, if not activated, you cannot install Scounix. After activation, use the SCO CD to enter the installation interface of the SCO. The following brief introduces the installation of the SCO: 1. 4. Set a UNIX hard disk partition:
After the previous step, the system will display the following tips:
Hard Disk Setup Unix ONLY: BAD BLOCKING OFF
Disk 0,3075mb, partition-filesystem: Use Whole Disk for UNIX
Any Other Disks CAN BE Configures After the Installation.
At this time: Note, because it is installed in multiple systems, you should move the light strip to the Hard .. column and press the space bar, there are three options, where the third selection is divided by UNIX's FDISK program, we use It sets the hard disk partition. 5. Enter the interactive interface, there are three options, select 1.Continue Initial .. then enter the partition selection, (Sorry is unclear is a few), select 3.Use Reset Unix (with a distinct Unix partition), return Car, choose your UNIX partition number, enter. Go back to the interface, choose 5.Active Disk (activating the partition, you should not be this, because we have been activated, but I still do) Select the UNIX partition. Q exit. Then go back all the way, and finally choose INSTALL.
6. After the installation is complete, we will strolly, in the boot: prompt, enter the SCO, enter bootos 3 can enter Windows boot (fortunate, I can't help enough, I can't guide Windows, so I have to do it)
7. Use Win2K CD to boot, choose to install Win2K, not repair, all the way to enter, the middle will prompt: Now the installation disk is not activated, continue to install will be activated, if activation, other operating systems may not start .. ... (Remember is not clear, probably meaning). Enter the car. The stop when the selection partition format is selected (that is, what is it: keep the existing partition format), don't install it slowly, and exit. F3. Restart. See if you can see the OSLOAD multi-system boot interface of Windows, if there is, even if it is successful. At least you don't reload it.
8. Start with a floppy disk, activate the UNIX partition with Diskman. You can enter root: Enter bootos 3 should enter Windows.
9. Join the startup of the SCO on the OSLoader of Windows. Enter the SCO, create a DOS device connection MKDEV DOS selection 1 with a command, and all items are selected as the Yeker. Start after completion. Enter SCO, load your FAT16 partition, Mount -f DOS / DEV / DSK / 0SC / MNT and then see if you can access your DOS disk, LS / MNT Next Generates SCO's DOS boot file DD if = / dev / hd00 of = / mnt / sco.unx BS = 512 count = 1 (/ dev / hd00 is the guidance partition under the SCO) LS / MNT Look at the sco.unx file, there is successful, restart, start with the floppy disk, use Diskman Windows's primary partition activation. Rain-up, enter the Win2K system (I am Win2K) installed in the Windows main partition (I am Under the Windows Subject area, the last line of the boot.ini file is added: c: /sco.unx = "Sco Unix 5.0. 5 "Save, heavy start. In Boot: Enter Bootos 3, you can see an SCO UNIX 5.0.0 under the OSLoader of Windows, select Start and return to the startup interface of the SCO. Enter into sco.
