TestDirector 7.2 Introduction

Preparation for installation

note:

TestDirector requires a database support, supported by Access, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Access, we take SQL Server2000 as an example.

Install TestDirector 7.2

1. Put the TestDirector 7.2 installation disk, run the setup.exe file, an easy interface, and click the Next button.

3. Select Supported Database Server Types: MS_SQL Server, Access, Sybase, ORACL, Option 1 or more, click Next button

4. Enter the connection string, such as: DBNETLIB, here we use the default, click Next button

5. Specify the directory of the project installation (in fact, most of the files are installed under the C drive, so have you specified one, Ha)

6. Enter your SMTP service name (IP) you use to send mail, or use the system IIS with SMTP service, here we enter an SMTP server name: creawor.com, click Next button

7. Enter the virtual directory name and specify the physical installation location, here we use the default value TDBIN and C: / INETPUB / TDBIN, click Next button

8. This is a summary of the information you set in front. After confirming the correct, click the Install button to start installing

10. After copying the file, display a registration interface, click Next button

Client configuration and control download

1. If you want to customize and manage projects, download the client installer from the server. Download location at http://km/tdbin/default.htmàtestdirector plug_ins page-àtestdirector client side setup

Create a project

1. Open: Start à program àtestdirecotr 7.2àProject Administration Utility, the system pops up the landing dialog. 2, the initial user name is: sysadmin, password is empty, click OK button to enter the system

3. You can see the two items (TestDireCotr_Application, TestDirector_Demo) on the left side of the main interface, we click the New button on the toolbar to pop up the project's new dialog

Customize project modules, join users and authorization

1. Open the IntrNET Explorer browser, enter: http://km/tdbin/default.htm

2. 3. Click on the Customize link on the top of the toolbar to pop up the landing dialog.

4. Select TD_KM in Project, which is the item we created above, enter your username: admin, password is empty, (This is the default system administrator identity), click the OK button to confirm the entry item custom page.

6. How do I define my own field? Click on the Customize Project Entities pop-up custom dialog. (Six tables here, the fields in each table are divided into system fields and user fields), select the Defectàuser Fields node, click the New Field button at the bottom, enter the field name and data type, And select the display mode. Defect

1. Open the IE browser, enter http://km/tdbin/default.htm in the address bar
