Preparation before installation
Ø First Install Oracle9IAS Requires Win2000 Advanced Server operating system, have installed service pack 1, CPU is Pentium500 or more, memory 1G or more.
Ø Second to ensure that there is enough disk space:
2 Operating system The disk is located with at least 100MB of space to install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and Oracle Universal Installer.
2 Installing the hard drive of Oracle 9ias requires at least 10G space.
2 Temporary folders (TEMP) requires 300MB of space.
Ø The server's virtual memory has 1024MB, set in the performance option of the operating system.
Ø The operating system must have installed the Active Directory existing server. The DNS server must be installed and it is already configured in the network settings.
Install Oracle9ias
Put Oracle 9i Application Server (DISK 1) into the optical drive, the disc will automatically run, appears as follows:
Ø Click the [Install Oracle9ias] button, the installer calls Oracle Universal Installer for installation.
Ø After the Splash screen flashes, the installer enters the "Welcome" screen:
Ø Click [Next] to start the installation, the installer enters the "File Location" screen:
Under this interface, the target name is: "ORA9IAS_IS" target path is changed to "d: / ora9is".
Note: The ORA9IAS Basics (Infrastructure) is first installed here in order to better use Oracle9ias.
Ø Click the [Next] button, the installer load product information:
Ø After loading is completed, the installer will enter the "available product" screen:
Ø Users choose the product to be installed as: Oracle9IAS Infrastructure 9.0.2.0.0, click the [Next] button, the installer starts setting the installation type:
Note; if you do not satisfy the requirements preceding requirements, the installer will pop up an error, please try again after demanding.
Ø The installer appears "Select Configuration Options" screen, the user needs to change the "Default Option" to "Specify Options" and select the last option (as shown), make sure all components are installed:
Ø Click the [Next] button, the installer reminds the user into the "routine name" and IAS_ADMIN password:
User is filled in in the "routine name": ORA9IS (meaning the Oracle9i infrastructure)
Fill in by "IAS_ADMIN Password": Ora9ias
(Remember this password here, you need to use it later)
Fill in in the "confirmation password": Ora9ias (consistent with the password above)
Ø Click the [Next] button, the installer continues to configure information until the "Database Character Set" screen appears, the user selects "Use the Default Character Set" (here should be zhs16GBK):
Ø Click the [Next] button, the installer continues configuration information, when the schedule reaches 100%, automatically appears "Summary" screen, users can browse the components you want to install: Ø Click the [Install] button, the installer begins to copy files , The time you need is longer, please wait patiently:
Note: When the schedule reaches 100%, the installation is not over, it may be replicated, at this time, you cannot click [Next] button, please wait patiently, the installation will automatically perform the next step.
Ø When the installation process is prompted to insert an optical disk labeled DISK2, Disk3, and you can follow the prompt.
Ø During the installation process, the screen of the creation database will appear, waiting for it to be completed, no need to operate:
Ø The installer automatically enters the Configuration Tool screen:
note:
1. Drag the scroll bar that drag the upper part to view the tool boot situation, if there is nothing, please do not click the [Retry] or [Stop] button.
2, the configuration tool time is also longer, please wait patiently.
3 After the system configuration, uninstall the installed components and reinstall it, it is best to contact professional guidance.
Ø All tools are successfully configured and started, the installer automatically enters the "Installation End" screen:
