1 Shark review
Depending on the definition of WFMC, workflow is partially or as a whole, which is manifested as a participant to take action on files, information, or tasks, and deliver them between participants. Simply put, workflow is a series of mutually connected, automated business activities or tasks. We can regard the entire business process as a river, which flows through the workflow.
The workflow engine is controlled to workflow.
Shark1.0 is entirely implemented according to WFMC specification, the scalable function workflow engine, which uses XPDL to define the process while also includes the server-side WFMC tool Agent API for active nodes. This tool agent API can serve JavaScript, JDBC Access, EJB Access, Pure Java Classes, Corba Calls, Email, WebService calls. Instantiation of the storage and activity of the process is accomplished by a definable persistence layer API. Shark1.0 uses a lightweight ENHYDRA DODS O / R mapping that own as its own standard persistence, but it also supports heavyweight J2EE EJB persistence. Each component in Shark1.0, such as a persistent layer, a matter manager, a scripting engine, a process library, can be implemented in accordance with standard implementation, and can also be extended and replaced by the module of the specific item. Thus, Shark can be used as a simple library of servlet and swing programs, or run in the J2EE container (API supporting session beans, possibly using entity beans as a persistence layer), or can be used as a WebService access.
2. Shark installation and start
SHARK1.0 installation configuration is very convenient and fast. Under the Windows platform, click the installation icon directly, follow the prompts to complete the installation. In the installation process, you need to specify JDK, Shark1.0 requires a JDK version of 1.4.1 or more.
When SHARK is started, the startup order is the name server (TNS.BAT), the server (run.bat), the management console (runa.bat). You can also launch three services in shortcut Shark (Runall.bat).
