The development environment of the VC version of InstallShield's VC version of InstallShield is the same, which is no longer repeated here. Since the InstallShield is customized for Microsoft Visual C 6, it is easier to run InstallShield directly from the Visual C 6 development environment. When the user is debugged with the Visual C 6 and compiles the Exe file to the Release version, you can select the "InstallShield Wizard" command in the "Tools" menu, perform the following procedure (as an example of Visual C single document application Mysdi) : (1) First, the "Welcome" dialog box as shown in Figure 1 is present, requiring the user to select a Visual C 6.0 application item (with .dsw-bend). Click the [Browse ...] button to find in the disk.
(2) Click the [Next] button, the "Application Information" dialog box shown in Figure 2, requiring the user to enter the application name, company name, type of application, version number, and executable of the application. Click the Browse button (with a button "..." symbol) to transfer the executable file name of the existing application in the disk.
(3) Click the [Next] button, the "Summary" dialog box shown in Figure 3 appears to display files and file group information in the installation item.
(4) Click the [Complete] button, install the item MySDI to create, and automatically launch InstallShield for Microsoft Visual C 6. (5) Use the InstallShield development environment to make a deeper installation project. It should be noted that since INSTALLSHIELD FOR Microsoft Visual C 6 is installed correctly, it will automatically add a "INSTALLSHIELD WIZARD" menu command to the "Tool" menu of Visual C 6.0 (which must be installed). It is used to create an installation item for an application for a Visual C 6.0. If you do not install Visual C 6.0 before installation, you will use the "InstallShield Wizard" menu command in the "Tool" menu of Visual C 6.0 when IntallShield is installed. 6.0 After proper installation, start Visual C 6.0 and select the "Tools" menu -> "Customize" command. (2) Switch to the "Tools" page in the pop-up "Customize" dialog box, as shown in Figure 4.
