Subnet mask and broadcast address

The legal broadcast address is the host's network address plus the largest host number. The network address is bits and the subnet mask by the IP address of the machine.

We use the IP address of 10.78.202.175 subnet mask for 255.255.255.0 as an example to analyze the above concepts.

First, these two things converted into binary code ip address: 00001010.01001110.11001010.10101111 Subnet Mask: 11111111.11111111.11111111.00000000 bit and come after the network address: 00001010.01001110.11001010.0000000 decimal representation of the network address is 10.78.202.0 could theoretically have 255 After the host, but remove the network address 0 and the broadcast address 255, it can actually only have 253 hosts. Then we can know that 175 is your machine's host number, the broadcast address is the largest host number, which is 10.78.202.255.

Is there 255.255.255.255 May become a legal broadcast address? The answer is not possible because 0.0.0.0 is not a legal subnet mask.
