The Intel 955x and 945 Series is a dual-core CPU "Pentium Extreme Edition" "Pentium D" in the second quarter of this year, "Pentium D" is called Anchor Creek.
The Intel 955 X Series chipset supports 1,066/800 MHz FSB, supports DDR2-677 / 533 memory,. In addition, the support of the Intel EM64T CPU is added, and the maximum memory addressing space exceeds 4 G, which is said to be 8GB. Compared with ICH7 South Bridge and ICH6, there are more 6 PCI Express X1 channels, and SATA 2 transmits speeds up to 3 Gbps, and ICH7R versions support RAID 5.

The maximum shortage of I945 series is that the maximum memory capacity supported by I945 is only 4GB, and ECC memory is not supported. In contrast, I945 is also a relatively advantageous aspect of Intel 955X, except for 1066/800 MHz, 533 MHz FSB, so it can be well supported by Celeron D. However, it is high for memory, only support DDR2-677 / 533, and DDR2-400 and DDR400 are not supported. Intel 945g built-in display core adopts Intel GMA950, which is improved compared with the GMA900.
