There is an inconspicuous HOSTS file in Windows, which is responsible for managing the correspondence between the IP address and the network hostname. By editing it, you can accelerate some common domain names, and you can block some unlike sites. The Host file priority is higher than DNS parsing. So when entering a URL, the computer first checks that there is such a resolution address in the HOSTS file, and if there is no other method parsing addresses such as DNS. The Hosts file is a pure text file that is not encrypted.
