Windvd is a good playback DVD software feature and sharpness is superior to PowerDVD, however Windvd uses normal use under Administrator privileges, starting in user or other restricted users will crash. Therefore, I have not used Windvd to use PowerDVD.
Under a chance, I found that Windvd can actually be used in restricted user privileges. The reason for causing its crash is that Windvd's first startup will ask online registration, which may have to rewrite some system variables, and cannot be rewritten under restricted user privileges. As long as you upgrade this user into an administrator, skip this registration dialog box and select "No longer reminded", the user will use Windvd without any problems after restore the permissions.
