Change the method of vs.net default SCM Provider
Find hkey_local_machine / software / sourcecodecontrolprovider / providerRegKey button
Change to the location of the Customized Provider in the registry.
For example, change from Software / Microsoft / SourceSafe to Software / Perforce / P4 to change SCM Provider from VSS to Perforce, and vice versa
