802.11b (usually also known as Wi-Fi) is one of the most popular wireless standards, which has taken an absolute advantage in wireless local area network (WLAN). To date, the Electronics and Electrical Engineers Association (IEEE) has developed three wireless local area network LAN802.11 specifications: 802.11, 802.11a, 802.11b. All three specifications use carrier detecting multiple access connections (CDMA / CDs) with anti-data loss characteristics as path sharing protocols.

Although 802.11a and 802.11b products are very similar, 802.11a provides a higher speed throughout the coverage. The rate is 54Mbps, which is faster than any other WLAN solution.
