How to use XDE to generate a project description document

We have learned and master how to use Rational Xde for .NET in the project to express item intentions, assist project design, below we are about to learn how to use XDE's Publish feature to generate project description documents.

All design structures, ideas, and comment information contained in XDE are saved in the MDX file, unfortunately the MDX file is closely related to the project file, and we must .NET development environment support can we browse the MDX file content, so put the MDX file as a project Description documentation is unreasonable. Fortunately, Rational XDE provides us with a simple, release method based on universal HTML file format (Rose also contains similar functions), and the steps are as follows:

1. Add a description of the description to each item, and there are two ways to add: Use

in the source editor, or add a comment in the XDE Model Documentation window.

2. Create a variety of items:

3. Model items that need to be published in Model Explore, such as "TestXDE", then select "Tool" - "Publish Model" menu, pop up as shown dialog box:

4. After specifying root, click the "Publish" button, as shown below. If you can't see the progress bar, it may be that the XDE is installed is incorrect, please reinstall.

5. After the execution, XDE will open the description documentation generated for us, as shown below. It can be seen that the tree map on the left is fully matched with the tree diagram of our XDE's Model Explore.

6. Browse with the tree map on the left. Obviously, this graphic has almost contains all the information we wish to release, such as design structure, annotation, legend, etc .:
