On March 12th, online game provider XFire on Thursday (March 10) said that the company has filed a counterclaim against Yahoo in the lawsuit against instant information patent technology. Yahoo has filed a lawsuit against XFire earlier, saying that one of his employees has applied Yahoo's patented technology to develop products.
Xfire denied Yahoo's allegations in the defense words submitted to the San Francisco Federal District Court and asked the Tribunal to not support Yahoo's litigation request.
Xfire also filed his own litigation request, saying that Yahoo's actions aims to provide XFire to Yahoo, forcing Xfire to provide technical license from Yahoo, and even sell the company to Yahoo.
Xfire said that Yahoo did not use the usage request of "pause or abort" as required by the convention before the lawsuit. Xfire requires Yahoo to compensate the loss caused by XFire on its inappropriate business actions.
Yahoo spokesperson did not express any comments.
Xfire is a rapidly growing multiplayer PC video game provider, and is located in California Menlo Park, which is established by Draper Fisher Jurvetson and New Enterprise Associates.
Yahoo's online communication service in the complaints of XFire infringed the technology of Chris Kirmse, Yahoo, Chris Kirmse, went to XFire after leaving Yahoo. Yahoo said that Kirmse Began has developed, tested and provided instant communication technologies with Yahoo in the technology.
Xfire indicates that 2004 is not less than $ 750,000.
