In the company's product sequence, there will also be more and more "standard products" variants -----, for different customers, appropriate modifications. The PCF (Product Configuration) module for the BAAN system is the best solution for such companies.
Product configuration refers to a variety of deformable products on a standard product structure.
1. Features:

BOM and process data of all product deformation varieties are controlled by the project control module. The customizers belonging to a project cannot be confused with the customizers of standard material or other items.
Note: In the actual production process, the project (sales orders) A and B may also be used to use the material 111, but if the material has been set to a custom material, the 111 material of the project A and the material 11 of the project B are in The system will be considered two different materials to strictly distinguish between actual management.
Fourth, an example statement
The following is a brief description of the operational process of a cable product in a cable factory.
The production and sales of the cable have the following characteristics:
1. Process the copper line to the copper core first.

The step of the standard process change the PCF module:

1. Need to adjust the relevant data.
Due to the use of new modules and operation methods, it is necessary to re-training and guidance on the relevant personnel. The operator has an adaptation process for the new module and requires a certain amount of time.
