Winmgmt.exe error solution

Symptoms When starting your computer, the following error message may appear:

Winmgmt.exe Has generated errors and will be closed by windows.you will need to restart the program.

This error message will appear once every 30 seconds.

Cause This behavior occurs when the files in the% SystemRoot% / System32 / WBEM / Repository folder are corrupted. This error message is repeated because WinMgmt.exe polls these files at intervals of 30 seconds to 60 seconds.

Solution To resolve this issue, delete the files in the% SystemRoot% / System32 / WBEM / Repository folder:

Right click on my computer on the desktop and click Manage. Under Services and Applications, click Services and shut down and stop Windows Management Instrumentation service. Delete all the files in the% SystemRoot% / System32 / WBEM / Repository folder. (Please create a backup copy of these files before deleting.) Open "Service and Applications", click Services, then open and start the Windows Management Instrumentation service.
