These two days decided to use TestDirector7.6 as a use case server. In the process of installing the configuration TD, there have been some problems, and there is a certain experience and write it to everyone.
1. installation
When installed for the first time, because of the problem of hard disk resource allocation, all relevant settings have been modified. The results have problems in the last use.
Later, I was installed once again using the default setting, and there was no problem. I guess because when configuring Virtual Directory, I modified the Physical Location, and the TD may have problems with the processing of the virtual directory, and the result is not available. So I suggest that you are installed, don't modify the default configuration here.
Domain repository is stored in use by Administrator user sharing control. Every Domain creates a directory in TD_DIR, and each Project will create a subdirectory in the Domain directory, and the data configuration information is placed in this corresponding directory. .
2. database
Here I made a big mistake. I am using the MS SQL database. Because I used CQ originally, I thought I also need to create an empty database connection. The result database has been modified to the newly built library. When using it, it will not be able to connect to the database.
Later, I checked the information. Some people say that deleting added a DB server is no problem, I will do it, there is no problem, the result is no problem. The Project's database is also successful in creating a connection to the connection. So the TD database is automatically generated and cannot modify the setting of the Connect String.
Later I went to check the database. There is a TestDirector library in the database. You should correspond to the DB Server connection library; each Project has its own database, the name mode is: TD_ [Domain] _ [Project] _db.
3. Chinese
According to the description of the Chinese patch package, I will go to the relevant directory above the server, discover the "system disk / program files / common files / mercury intective / td2000" does not have TDClientui.ocx at all.
The client is TDCLIENTUI.OCX, and the interface is still in the back of the registration. I am very depressed.
Later, I found that my TD didn't play SP4 patches. After downloading the SP4 patch, the interface is finally the Chinese version after the client covers the registration of TDCLIEntui.ocx.
So Chinese has two conditions, one is to play SP4 patches, the second is to use TDClientui.oCX to access TD client.
4. Some content related to user groups and users
In the site administrator, there is a use of users, but only one username can be added inside, personal feeling is just to use Import function Batch import users easy to use. So really add users or go to Customize.
In Users, there are two default users Admin and Guests are not delete; the default developer, Project Manager, Qatester, TDADMIN, and Viewer groups in Groups cannot be modified and deleted.
Each user is at least one user group.
Permissions Settings In Groups (Groups), the user's permissions are actually the permissions of his group.
The user's E-mail is E-mail that transmits the use of the message.
5. Field Chinese
