The GM version of the RAD 6 has some days. Finally, I got some time to see, and I also started something.
RAD 6, the official full name is: Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software, is the successor of WSAD (WebSphere Studio Application Developer). In fact, it can be understood as WSAD 6. WSAD 5 can develop WAS 5 and WAS 4, and RAD 6 can develop WAS 6, 5 and 4. The RAD 6 is developed based on stable Eclipse 3.0, and WSAD 5 is based on Eclipse 2.1.
You can download from IBM to RAD 6. Note that the development of WAS 5 and WAS 4 is in additional downloads (all downloaded by Optional). DeveloperWorks also has a related column that introduces RAD 6.
