Gmail's latest feature contains a POP to switch
This way, as long as you have a POP function in handle, you can use usually send and receive emails.
Turn on the POP function:
Log in to the GMAIL mailbox, click on the top left angle to set the settings, enter the setup window.
Then click on the "Forwarding and Pop" tab, select Enable Pop for All Mail on the second column Pop Download, and then save your modification.
Client:
Next to set the client, depending on your client software, you can fill the following parameters.
POP server: pop.gmail.com
Open SSL
Port 995 (note that the default port of POP is 110, here is changed to 995)
SMTP server: SMTP.Gmail.com
SMTP server requires authentication
Open SSL
Port 465 or 587
Account Name: You have a Gmail username (including the part of '@ gmail.com')
Email Address: You have to get a Gmail address (username@gmail.com)
Password: You have to gmail password
