Smartphone displayed in the Smartphone 2003 SDK picture, default uses a two-tier (TIER) security model. The simulator defaults to a medium security level without prompt. This is a double security model that changes standard security configurations. The standard security configuration of the simulator is different from the security model of SmartPhone 2003 to allow unswabed applications to be executed without prompt.
Note: The simulator of Smartphone2002 defaults to use unmodified SmartPhone 2002 medium security models, one can run a two-layer security model that can be programmed.
The simulator included in the SmartPhone SDK has the following security policy settings:
l Allows a double security model.
l Allows running unqualified applications.
l Allows the use of unsigned compressed CAB packets in the task manager.
l The application prompt function is prohibited in Smartphone 2003. There is no application prompt function in SmartPhone 2002.
l Allows the Manager policy to be USER_AUTH, meaning that the user can be a manager.
l Allow RAPI.
