Second, office update
Office update is a bit similar to Windows Update, but Office update does not have a direct switch in the start menu, which can only be indirect over Windows Update (of course you can add one). After entering Windows Update, simply click on the "Office Update" option at the top of this page to enter the Office Update page (of course you can also use http: // office. Microsoft.com/officeUpdate/default.aspx into).
Unlike Windows Update, office update's navigation bar is not on the left side of the home page, with only two items: Office update Check Update and recent updates (as shown in Figure 2 Red Wire Box). "Check Update", automatic diagnostics engine, "Recent updated", is newly discovered and resolved in the Office Vulnerability and Defect List, at Office 2003, Office XP, Office 2000. The diagnostic results of "Check Update" include the update content in the "Recent Update" column. Just click on "Check Update" under Office Update (which is written with blue fonts, there is a circular pattern of a green backing white arrow symbol on the left), and Office Update automatically detects and in the "Office Online" web page. Give a directory prompt for updated patch, click "Start Installation" within it, and Office Update will make the default installation of the selected item.

For the first time, using Office Update will prompt you to update the installation engine. The latest version of the engine needs to be downloaded and installed manually, otherwise, the newly proximity patch package cannot be detected well without performing related items.
Office update updates the accumulated patch package. For Office 2000, the latest patch pack is Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP-3), install it to install SR-1 patch; if SR-1 is updated, there is an error, SP-3 cannot Successful installation.
Of course, Windows Update and Office Update also have many other useful features, such as viewing install history, personalized Windows Update, Office training, computer translation, etc., but now, what is the current concern, there are two items, Give the Windows operating system and Office office software, you don't.
