SK Telecom's predecessor - Korea move
Founded in 1984, the Korea Mobile Telecommunications Corporation was established in 1997 to SK Telecom. In a short period of time, we have developed into the largest company in multiple fields in the telecommunications industry and have achieved many groundbreaking results. In January 1996, we successfully opened the world's first commercial CDMA mobile phone business. In the business process of CDMA, we have mastered the corresponding technical and way of operation. We are now moving towards the third generation of multimedia mobile communications (such as IMT-2000) and will become the provisions of the fourth generation and fifth-generation mobile communications services.
