Luxembourg Skype Technology plans to install its VoIP software to the i-Mate brand of Carrier Device, which is equipped with Wi-Fi and mobile communication functions.
New Products I-Mate PDA2 and PDA2K Pocket PC will install Skype's software, allow your phone to call your voice. This week, Skype said in a statement that this series of mobile phones allows users to call SKYPE VoIP.
These mobile phone products use Microsoft for Pocket PC, which has Windows Mobile 2003 software, with GSM / GPRS and Wi-Fi wireless local area network capabilities. Carrier Device plans to install Skype's software on a smaller phone i-name jam. With Skype software, users can dial broadband network phones through Wi-Fi networks, and the call quality is even better than GSM / GPRS network services.
Skype developed Point VoIP software enables users to call another Skype user free of charge via the Internet. With Skypeout services, Skype users only need to pay far less than traditional international long-distance bills, they can call fixed calls and mobile phone users. Skype software can also be installed on other phones that use Windows operating systems.
At the beginning of this month, Skype was more announced in cooperation with the second largest fixed telephone operator and branch of Hong Kong to provide internet telephone services. Last year, Skype also cooperated with Siemens to make Siemens cordless phone users can call Skype VoIP.
