FILE: Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Library
Microsoft Visual Basic runtime file allows all applications created with Visual Basic 6.0 to run. Matter Basic 6.0 is created with Visual Basic 6.0. Therefore, you should ensure that your computer has Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Library.
If the application appears in the runtime, it may be caused by the proper installation of Microsoft Visual Basic in your computer:
System prompt at startup:
Didn't find MSVBVM60.DLL, so this application failed to start.
Such problems are mainly on earlier Windows, such as Windows95, etc. In Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2003, the system has been installed by default, Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Library is installed.
Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Library mainly contains the following files:
Asycfilt.dll, the OLE runtime prepared for WindowsNT and Windows 95
Comcat.dll, Microsoft Component Category Manager Library
MSVBVM60.DLL, Visual Basic 6 virtual machine
Oleaut32.dll OLE Components
OLEPRO32.DLL OLE components
Stdole2.tlb OLE Components
For Chinese cultural components, it should include VB6chs.dll, which contains common Chinese resources, but no default is installed in Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2003. If your Chinese language program is not working properly, you should consider installing this file.
Reinstall Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Library.
Windows95 / 98 / NT4 / ME

On the Visual Studio 6.0 Professional CD, the VBRUN60.CAB and VB6chs.cab files are located in the same relative path on disk 2. On the Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise CD, it is on disk 3. Extract.exe is provided in the system directory, you can use this tool, or other decompression tools to release these two files.

Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2003
The Microsoft Visual Basic runtime library is installed as part of the above three types of systems. So you should get a Microsoft Visual Basic runtime library from your installation CD. If you have installation CD, or on your hard drive or network drive, you can use the sfc / scannow command to restore your system files and you will use the Regsrv32 command to re-register licenses for these files. For the use of the SFC and Regsvr32 commands, please refer to the Windows Help file or other related documents. You may also need to install VB6chs.dll, because this file does not send you together with Microsoft Visual Basic running time unless you have a Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime library. Please get VB6chs.dll here, or get it from the installation of Visual Studio 6, the method is the same.
vb6chs.rar
After decompression, please click the mouse button on the installation information VB6chs.inf, select "Install", and this file will be copied to your system and complete the registration license. The version of the Microsoft Visual Basic runtime library.
There are current versions:
Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime SP6
This is the latest version, and only this version of the Microsoft Visual Basic runtime library is available in your computer after installing Microsoft Visual Basic 6 SP6.
