Everyone who has used the computer knows that the optical drive will be used for almost a year, and there is a copy of the disc, some disc can read. This situation is getting closer and more serious, and finally, I don't read it. I put it in, "I'm so angry" to a half day, but I can only listen to the disc icon, I only listen to "", "equipment is not ready" . In fact, the optical drive reading is poor, mainly because the computer is poor, the bald head has a layer of dust, which blocks the passage of the laser beam, while the laser head is gradually declining with the increase of the time of use. Finally, the disc will not be read. It is very simple to repair this small problem, open the optical drive, clean the lens of the bald head, and then properly adjust the laser head's transmit power OK.
In fact, this type of article has been much, but there is no good way to adjust the laser head power. It is to say that the left screw or the right screw, finally screwed, actually put the small potentiometer to screw Down. This is, I personally encountered, it is ok, my own welding level is high, and it is repaired from other scrap drops to repair it.
The potentiometer that controls the laser head power is a 2K infinite potentiometer, which can be rotated anyway, so if we only feel the power size of the laser head, it is difficult to grasp.
Today, I will introduce how to use a million menu to adjust the power of the laser head. 1. Open the outer casing of the optical drive. Take the Sony CDU5221 optical drive as an example.
2. Excap the tray with the big head, remove the plastic file with the "Sony" logo.
The following figure is what we usually call the laser head. In fact, we see the lens, the actual laser head is below the lens.
Laser head assembly enlargement:
Unplug the light head and the board connection flexible cable, do not be inconvenient when measuring the potentiometer resistance.
Reverse the optical drum frame and let the laser head down, then we see the shape of the back of the head assembly. The position near the flexible cable below the power adjustment potentiometer is a head power conditioner.
The following figure is the physical map of the potentiometer. Note that the potentiometer has three pins. If you test with a multimeter test, there are two pins to 0, and we only test changes in the resistance of the two pins of the resistance.
Measure the size of the current resistance of the power adjustment potentiometer with a multimeter.
Observe the head reading of the meter, 919 ohm.
